Tiger Tech Initiative

Dear Benton Middle School Family,

Benton Middle School is seeking your support to further our interactive learning experiences with 21st century technologies through our technology fundraising program- Tiger Tech Initiative- Integrating, Synchronizing, and Networking.

Over the past two years our school family has raised nearly $60,000 through the exceptional generosity of students, parents, corporate sponsors, grants written by teachers, and district allocations.  This funding has provided an opportunity for us to purchase six mobile Chromebook Labs (198 laptop computers).   As a result of these integrated technologies, we continue to see an increase in student achievement in the classroom and on standardized assessments.

While our ultimate goal is one-to-one computing for all Benton Middle students, our more immediate need is to have enough Chromebooks for a complete grade level (approximately 365 students) to complete state assessments on individual computers. Therefore, we will have one last $5 Free Dress Day this semester for Tiger Tech on Friday, December 9th.  We encourage all students to participate.  Likewise, we encourage any individual family or cooperate sponsors to make end of the year tax deductible donations toward Tiger Tech.

We pledge that 100% of all donated proceeds will go directly to integrated student technologies.  We thank you again for your continued support as together we commit to providing the very best for our students at Benton Middle School.

Tiger Pride,

Kyle Machen, Ed. D.
